Darling is a self centered youth from Coimbatore who joins an IT company in Bengaluru and moves into their bachelor room. He hits the bottle hard and is a bit of a glutton who is unmindful of others and the problems he causes to them. He then meets a modern girl who lives with another friend and his girlfriend in a posh apartment and sets sights on her.

Darling, the protagonist of Bachelor, is the kind of guy who doesn’t care what others think of him. He is an aimless youngster from Coimbatore, working in an IT firm in Bangalore, staying with his friends, who also hail from his native. He is in that phase in which he is enjoying the freedom of living by himself, free from the restrictions that living with one’s family brings. Like the roosters in the mansion which he shares with his friends, he struts around with hardly a care. The only two things on his mind seem to be getting a bottle to drink and snagging a girl to snog.
