The story is framed by Jyothi Ramayya, a writer known for his love of sci-fi and adventure. His politically conscious neighbor Lilli, after reading his earlier works, nudges him to try something more rooted,a story drawn from Chennai’s everyday life. And so begins the tale of Kannan, an auto driver navigating a lower-middle-class life with his wife Kamalam, daughter Deepika son Dinesh, and their ever-loyal dog Brownie.
